am 25. Januar 2020 um 7:09
UK outlook issued Thursday 23rd January 2020 Week 1 Turning unsettled. Friday: In the north west of the UK drizzly conditions are likely. Elsewhere it should be mainly dry but there will be a lot of cloud. Early fog could be slow to lift in places. Saturday: Some bright spells develop but there will be a lot of cloud. Light spells of rain are possible in the north and west. Sunday: A band of wet and windy weather spreads eastwards. Colder and showery conditions follow on from the west. Over high ground in the north showers could turn to sleet or snow. Monday: The north has a cold day with wintry showers. Southern and central regions could be showery to begin with but there is a risk of more persistent spells of rain later on. It may also turn very windy but forecast details are uncertain. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: It remains unsettled. Showers or longer spells of rain are a risk in all regions. There will be drier periods too with the best of them in the south. It may be cold enough for sleet or snow over high ground in the north but the south probably stays quite mild. Forecast confidence is high falling to medium. Week 2 Changeable. All regions have changeable conditions with showers or longer spells of rain but also drier and brighter interludes. Periods of rain are expected to be the most frequent in the north where it could be cold enough for snow over high ground and perhaps down to low levels at times. Temperatures often quite close to average in the north and above average in the south. Forecast confidence is moderate to low. Overview Week 1 High pressure slips away southeastwards early in the period and disturbances from the Atlantic push southeastwards across the UK. There is the potential for a secondary area of low pressure to bring a stormy period to the southern half of the country on Monday. However, forecast details are uncertain and the majority of computer models currently shows the worst conditions missing the UK. Week 2 An […]
