Widespread thunderstorms possible for parts of the continent with Marginals issued for North Italy and North Turkey, Russia and Ukraine with a level 2 hail threat.
A marginal has been issued for North Italy primarily for a chance of severe weather in the afternoon. SBCAPE Values are at 1,000 j/kg for the majority but with not much there to initiate any storms the primary areas could potentially be around the Alps and Mountainous Areas which could cause Orographic lift to help the uplift in forming cumulus to help them push through the weak cap inversion. If any storms initiate they will have a small to moderate hail threat with the potential for frequent lightning. Although there is alot of CAPE around in the west tomorrow with not much to help the initiation process it will more than likely be over mountainous areas if anything will develop.
A marginal has been issued for North Turkey, Ukraine and Russia primarily for Excessive precipitation which could lead to localised to flash flooding. As a cold front pushes in PWAT Values are high at 1.5″-2″ so flash flooding in areas can not be ruled out. Severe weather is also a threat within the systems that develop ahead of the cold front. Hail is a minor threat within which they could reach small to moderate sized as updrafts have the potential to be strong.
