Tomorrow a slight has been issued Portions of France, Switzerland and Western Germany. Hail and Straight line winds are threats with the thunderstorms that do develop.
Tomorrow a Cold Front is moving into South Western Europe coming from the UK. A trough forms down in and pushes East, SBCAPE values down the cold front are mostly at 1,000 j/kg while towards East France and West Germany values range from 2,000-3,000 j/kg. Vertical velocities are showing powerful updrafts within the slight region where severe thunderstorms are likely to develop early/mid afternoon and more storms form along it as it pushes East into Eastern Germany, With the vertical velocities being powerful a hail risk has been issued for tomorrow with could could sustain and drop some moderate size hail.
Dew points range from 16-21°C so moisture is good for thunderstorm development along the front. There is some bulk shear around in Eastern France and West Germany, so a supercell can not be ruled out tomorrow! The threats with tomorrows storms will be moderate-high lightning totals, Heavy Rainfall, hail and the possibility of severe wind gusts.
North Italy is once again under threat of more severe thunderstorms tomorrow with Moderate SBCAPE values which will range from 1,000-2,000 j/kg, Vertical velocities seem weak so hail isnt much of a threat but the main threat for North Italy will be Excessive precipitation.
